The internet and it's use

It was the tourism industry, which first looked at the potential of the Internet as a information medium of great value, which could be capitalized upon and put to the optimal and most profitable use by the industry.  As the Internet grew into a gigantic mammoth of information dissemination, the travel and tourism industry decided to use it in new and innovative ways to distribute knowledge about hospitality, tourism locations, tourist spots, where to go, what to eat, where to stay, how to get there and other travel services and products etc.

In this way, they made sure that the consumers knew about the latest information about a travel destination of their choice, while being assured that every single traveller who took advantage of this knowledge benefited through the exemplary service given to them by the people in the tourism and travel industry.

Now, let us take an example of how you, as a traveller, are going to use the Internet for your own benefit. You are going to go online, because your tourist location for this summer is the sunny Mediterranean.  You will be going to do a research upon all the tourist spots in Italy.  My plan and itinerary is flexible, but it has to keep within a limited budget.

Should you go to Tuscany or should you go to Sicily?  Which location is going to be cheaper where you can manage to survive on $25 a day?  Which is the best place to eat and cheaply?  Where is it that you do not spend much but be able to enjoy the original delicious Mediterranean cuisine? All this knowledge is out there on the net, the use of the Internet will provide the intrepid traveller with the required information for this and much more.
